Going to the China Halls gave me so much inspiration and really helped with the development of my project. I was able to see how my work reacted in an environment that initially inspired my current work. I soon decided that I wanted to try photographing the pieces in a studio. I didn't want to opt for the typical white backdrop this time and wanted this shoot to be a bit more fun and playful. I wanted to achieve an overall quite 'creepy' mood because looking back at a lot of my inspiration this was the feeling I was getting. I wanted the overall look to be dark yet highlighting the key details of the pieces, I didn't want 'happy and bright' images. The shoot is unlike anything I have done before with my work and it was really refreshing seeing it in a new light. Now both have been completed I can hopefully take ideas from both locations and start to refine my work.
